Our Mission
We believe that every business deserves to be seen. Our mission is to connect Black-owned businesses and organizations with the community they are meant to serve, creating a supportive environment where growth and opportunity are accessible to all.
Our Core Values
At Seen & Connected, our foundation is built on five pillars that guide how we champion Black-owned businesses, nonprofits, and churches across Houston. We prioritize community first, ensuring that every initiative is designed to strengthen the local ecosystem and uplift the organizations we serve. Our commitment to visibility means leveraging modern storytelling and digital tools to ensure that these vital community pillars are no longer overlooked but easily discovered by neighbors who want to support them. We cultivate trust by maintaining a high-integrity directory that offers real transparency and reliable connections.
Â
Through collaboration, we bridge the gap between businesses and community leaders, fostering partnerships that create a meaningful collective impact. Finally, we are dedicated to growth, providing the platform and resources necessary for sustainable expansion so that as your visibility rises, new opportunities for economic and social prosperity can flourish alongside you.
Meet the Founder
Graylynn T. Viltz, MFA
Seen & Connected was founded by Graylynn T. Viltz, MFA, a strategic media professional, nonprofit founder, and community advocate who believes every business and organization deserves the opportunity to be seen, supported, and connected.
After years of working alongside nonprofits, entrepreneurs, and community leaders, Graylynn recognized that many incredible Black-owned businesses and organizations were doing meaningful work—but often lacked the visibility needed to reach the people who wanted to support them.
Seen & Connected was created to bridge that gap.
By combining strategic storytelling, community engagement, and digital innovation, the platform helps connect Black-owned businesses, nonprofits, churches, and community organizations with individuals who are actively looking to discover, support, and collaborate within their communities.
"When communities become more visible, opportunities grow for everyone." — Graylynn T. Viltz, MFA
